Key Flag product from our own production line

Hyvän Kaupan Paikka’s Classic Hot Tub is made in Finland, down to every small component. We are very proud of our production line, and have manufactured this Classic Hot Tub model for years using the same proven design. The hot tub’s edge panels arrive at the factory as long lengths. They are cut to size and made into an element, inside which are placed the pre-glued insulated base from Jackon in Sastamala and the maintenance-free, moulded PE plastic pool from Pipelife in Oulu. Our precise hot-tub specialists drill the drain hole in the base, the stove holes in the side and fit the hoses. Finally, the package is carefully turned on its side to install the outlet pipe.

The Classic Hot Tub is delivered carriage-free to its new happy owner, who only needs to have a water hose, firewood and fire-lighting equipment ready. The owner must ensure that the hot tub is installed level, so that the water does not sit unevenly. Installation instructions are included, but in practice the new owner only needs to attach the stove, placed on a level base, to the hot tub with hose clamps, screw the stove’s outlet valve closed and – hey presto – get in the bath.

Improved seating comfort in a rotationally moulded pool – also for taller bathers

The maintenance-free, moulded PE plastic pool comes to us from nearby Pipelife in Oulu. At their factory, the pool is rotationally moulded from plastic granules through a precise process. The granules are placed in a mould, which rotates in an oven for an hour. After cooling, the pool is ready to be moved to Hyvän Kaupan Paikka’s production line.

We have paid particular attention to seating comfort when designing the pool. The sides are not vertical, as a wedge-shaped insulating air space has been left between the pool and the edge panels, providing better support for the bather’s back. Our pools have higher-than-average edges, so even taller bathers’ shoulders are below the steaming hot water and their necks do not get cold. Seating comfort is first-class, and legs do not become tangled in this hot tub: despite its height, the bench is not too low.

Super-efficient marine-aluminium stove

The marine-aluminium stoves included in Hyvän Kaupan Paikka hot-tub packages are made in Finland. The powerful 35 kW stove is not afraid of seawater: it works with both fresh and seawater. Carefully considered material details make this stove a red-hot top product. Marine aluminium conducts heat excellently, the stove’s front plate is stainless steel, and the glass door allows you to check the fire without opening it. The stove package includes 2 metres of chimney pipe and a rain cap; if you want extra pipe, a chimney guard or a spark arrester, see the accessories list.

Remember that chlorine is not recommended with marine aluminium, as it starts to oxidise it. We recommend changing the water often enough and using active-oxygen tablets (see the accessories list). Active oxygen oxidises the water in about 24 hours, after which it can also be used for watering, as it contains no additional chemicals and is safer for children. Oxygen-free water can easily develop a slimy surface on the pool edges, but active oxygen prevents this process.

Easy maintenance with little effort

In the Classic Hot Tub, your backside will not freeze even when the ground is frozen. The 45 cm Styrox insulation in the base prevents cold from reaching the bottom and keeps the water warmer. A plastic cover is included, considerably reducing heat loss. A well-heated hot tub can be warmed up again the next morning with just one load of firewood.

Warmth is also provided by the heat-treated Lunawood pine panels that complete the hot tub’s appearance as the pool’s edge material. The pine panels require no treatment if you do not want to. The surface will then weather to a beautiful grey over the years. If you want to preserve the brown shade, apply wood oil annually. The plastic pool is also maintenance-free: as it has no moulded seams, dirt cannot accumulate in particular places. Remember to keep the pool surfaces clean when changing the water. This is easy with ordinary cleaning products. The most meticulous users can occasionally clean or disinfect the pool more thoroughly, but remember to handle wastewater correctly.
