Arctic Hot Tub! No more warm drinks in the water

Who wants to sip refreshments warmed in a hot tub? Nobody! That is why Hyvän Kaupan Paikka’s hot-tub designers created integrated side shelves with drink holders for the Arctic Hot Tub. The shelf is not only a waiting lounge for hot-tub beers, ciders, soft drinks and cocktails, but also provides space for mood candles and lanterns. It is excellent for children’s hot-tub activities too: during a break from diving, goggles and toys can be placed on it. Its versatility is limited only by your imagination. Earrings or a smartwatch can even be placed in the drink recesses if you are unsure about their water resistance. Although you need not keep track of time while relaxing in the tub, a clock can be conveniently checked on a phone resting on the shelf. Eight drink recesses are enough even for a larger group of bathers.

Innovative design – square-oval shape

We decided to combine two beautiful design languages and created the square-oval shape for the Arctic Hot Tub. It speaks both practicality and beauty. The shape allows for side shelves and gives the traditional round hot-tub design extra structure. The Arctic Hot Tub is a perfect match for Finnish uprightness and straight backs. The Finnish “swamp, hoe and Jussi” philosophy has had its corners rounded, however, because nobody needs to strain in a hot tub. Although the tub is called Arctic, we warmly recommend heating the water before getting in.

Versatile Step In stair for easier use

You might not expect one plastic step to be so versatile, but it is. We designed the Step In stair to make entering the tub easier and to fit the Arctic Hot Tub perfectly. It naturally helps when getting out, but also serves as a seat for a smaller child whose head would otherwise be submerged. In use, we have found that it also makes an excellent armrest, turning the Arctic Hot Tub into a convenient water armchair. The Step In solution makes it suitable for all ages and makes bathing easier for people with reduced mobility. After limbs have been strained by Finland’s Arctic winter conditions, they are easier to lower into soothingly warm water thanks to the Arctic Step In stair.

What colour would you like?

Hyvän Kaupan Paikka’s relaxed approach is also reflected in our hot-tub range. We offer hot tubs for every need and taste. The Arctic Hot Tub can be dressed to suit your preferences. Choose the plastic tub colour from five options and consider the Step In stair’s position in relation to the stove. And that is not all. You can also choose the material of the outer cladding from three options and select a black or grey cover. The tub colours draw inspiration from nature, including sea blue and lichen grey. All colour schemes are compatible and work beautifully together.

Arctic conditions – effective insulation

To make the Arctic Hot Tub worthy of its name, we wrap the tub in proper insulation! Beneath the plastic tub is 440 mm of EPS insulation, keeping frost at bay and the bathing water hot even in colder winter weather. We also added plenty of thermo-plastic insulation to the sides so the edges are insulated too. This highly energy-efficient hot tub retains heat so effectively that a well-covered Arctic Hot Tub is still warm the following day. For the chilliest bathers, we recommend burning one load of wood before the next day’s water fun, but the tub will be ready for bathing again in an instant. Add wood to the stove, change clothes, wash and prepare the hot-tub drinks, then get bathing.

Gentle heat, efficiently

Our powerful marine-aluminium Arctic stove heats the water to bathing temperature in a couple of hours. With 35 kW of full power, its marine aluminium is durable and conducts heat well. The stove has an attractive glass door, allowing the wood-fired tub to cast a beautiful glow without opening the door to check the fire.

The marine-aluminium stoves included in Hyvän Kaupan Paikka’s hot-tub packages are made in Finland. The powerful stove is not affected even by seawater, as it works with both fresh and salt water. Carefully considered material details make it a red-hot, premium product. The stove package includes 2 m of flue pipe and a rain cap; if you want more pipe, a chimney guard or a spark guard, see the accessories list.

Remember that chlorine is not recommended with marine aluminium, as it begins to oxidise the material. We recommend changing the water often enough and using active-oxygen tablets (see the accessories list). Active oxygen oxidises the water for about 24 hours, after which it can also be used for watering, as it contains no additional chemicals and is safer for children. Oxygen-free water can easily create a slimy film on the tub edges, but active oxygen prevents this process.

Carefree plastic tub

Unique in design and carefully engineered for seating comfort, the Arctic Hot Tub’s basin is made from rotationally moulded Jaxal polyethylene. This plastic has memory, meaning it wants to retain the shape into which it was moulded. Easy-care and carefree, the plastic tub stands the test of time, which is why we are confident enough to provide a ten-year warranty.

As the plastic tub has no moulded seams, dirt cannot collect in particular places. Still, remember to keep the tub surfaces clean when changing the water. This is easy with ordinary cleaning products. The most meticulous users can occasionally clean the tub more thoroughly, or disinfect it, but remember to handle wastewater correctly.

Thousands of hot tubs in the valleys and hills of Finland

You can relax carefree in the hot tub, as the Arctic Hot Tub is a Key Flag product representing Finnish craftsmanship while supporting domestic employment.

Finnish company Hyvän Kaupan Paikka is a reliable place to buy hot tubs: we have already sold tens of thousands. Last year alone, we delivered 5,500 hot tubs to Finns who enjoy outdoor bathing, bringing pleasure through the seasons. Made with a relaxed yet precise approach, our outdoor-bathing products represent the best of Finnish manufacture.
