Avainlippu product from our own production line

Hyvän Kaupan Paikka’s Classic Hot Tub is made in Finland, down to every small component. We are very proud of our production line, and have made this Classic Hot Tub model for years using the same proven design. The tub’s edge panels arrive at the factory as long sections. They are cut to size and made into an element, inside which the previously bonded insulating base from Jackon in Sastamala and the maintenance-free PE plastic pool moulded by Pipelife in Oulu are fitted. Our precise hot-tub specialists drill the drain hole in the base, the heater holes in the side and install the hoses. Finally, the package is carefully placed on its side to install the outlet pipe.

The Classic Hot Tub is delivered freight-free to its happy new owner, who only needs to have a water hose, firewood and fire-lighting equipment ready. The owner must ensure that the hot tub is installed level, so the water does not sit unevenly in the tub. Installation instructions are included, but in practice the new owner only needs to attach the heater, placed on a level base, to the hot tub with hose clamps, screw the heater’s outlet valve closed and—hey presto—enjoy the bath.

Improved seating comfort in a rotationally moulded pool – also for taller bathers

The maintenance-free, rotationally moulded PE plastic pool comes to us from nearby, from Pipelife in Oulu. At their factory, the pool is formed from plastic granules through a precise process. The granules are placed in a mould, which rotates in an oven for one hour. After cooling, the pool is ready to be moved to Hyvän Kaupan Paikka’s production line.

We have paid particular attention to seating comfort in the pool’s design. The sides are not vertical, as a wedge-shaped insulating air space has been left between the pool and the edge cladding, providing better support for the bather’s back. Our pool edges are on average higher than those of other manufacturers, so even taller bathers’ shoulders sit below the steaming warm water and their necks do not get cold. Seating comfort is first-class, and your legs will not be cramped in this hot tub: despite its height, the bench is not too low.

Super-efficient marine-aluminium heater

The marine-aluminium heaters included in Hyvän Kaupan Paikka hot-tub packages are made in Finland. The powerful 35 kW heater is not afraid of even seawater, as it works with both fresh and salt water. Carefully considered material details make the heater a red-hot top product. Marine aluminium conducts heat excellently, the heater’s front plate is stainless steel, and the glass door lets you check the fire without opening it. The heater package includes 2 metres of chimney pipe and a rain cap; if you want more pipe, a chimney guard or spark guard, see the accessories list.

Remember that chlorine is not recommended with marine aluminium, as it begins to oxidise it. We recommend changing the water often enough and using active-oxygen tablets (see the accessories list). Active oxygen oxidises the water for about 24 hours, after which it can also be used for watering, as it contains no additional chemicals and is safer for children. Water without oxygen can easily develop a slimy surface on the pool edges, but active oxygen prevents this process.

Easy maintenance with minimal effort

In the Classic Hot Tub, your backside will not freeze even when the ground is frozen. The 45 cm of Styrox insulation in the base prevents cold from reaching the pool bottom and keeps the water warmer. A plastic cover is included, considerably reducing heat loss. A properly heated hot tub can be warmed again the following morning with one load of firewood.

Warmth is also retained by the Lunawood heat-treated pine panel, which completes the hot tub’s appearance as the pool’s edge material. The pine panel requires no treatment if you do not want to apply any. The surface will then weather to a beautiful grey over the years. If you want to preserve the brown shade, apply wood oil annually. The plastic pool is also maintenance-free: because it has no moulded seams, dirt cannot collect in particular areas. Remember to keep the pool surfaces clean when changing the water. This is easy with normal detergents. More thorough users can occasionally clean and disinfect the pool, but remember to handle wastewater correctly.
