During the test drive we observed the following:

• The vehicle’s exterior showed several age- and use-related signs of wear, paint damage, scuff marks and localised beginnings of rust, as described in the more detailed condition report. The interior is generally tidy, but there is a slight smell of tobacco in the car. The driver’s seat, steering wheel and some chrome and plastic surfaces show wear consistent with normal use.

• The car starts without issues when cold or warm. During the test drive, the engine, transmission, audio system and electrical equipment operated normally. The engine warning light is on. According to the previous owner, after clearing the fault light it stays off for a while, but comes back on later. The fault has not been diagnosed in more detail; the garage suspected it may be related to the boost pressure system. On the test drive the engine ran normally, pulled evenly and no loss of power was observed.

• The chassis and driving feel show wear consistent with more than 400,000 kilometres, but the car is still roadworthy and well suited as an affordable everyday or work car. Overall, this is a functional use car for its age and mileage, with signs of use visible both in the body and the interior.
