Defects and other observations

During a short test drive, we observed the following:


The wiring harness was dismantled and we checked which wires had broken, the gearbox wiring harness was measured -> OK. The signal memory was checked for gearbox values, and for some reason it claims that it is in neutral all the time even though it should not be. When the "manual" mode is selected on the instrument cluster, it constantly shows that 7th gear is engaged; usually when standing still it only goes into 1st-2nd. I suspect the mechatronics unit has taken a hit. Now that the broken wire has been repaired, it has gone into limp mode and will not change gear.

-> The mechatronics unit alone is about €2900


The car has been reassembled. Tested with the wheels in the air and a gear engaged. The wheels do not rotate. In D gear it tries to rotate in the wrong direction, moves only a tiny bit and will not start turning even with help by hand. I recommend replacing the entire gearbox. Tried an ECU reset as well -> no effect


THE CAR HAS NOT BEEN TEST DRIVEN! IT IS POSSIBLE THAT THERE IS SOME OTHER FAULT THAT IS NOT KNOWN AT THIS TIME!
