Defects and other observations

Known faults:

-The tyre pressure warning light came on a few weeks ago, but the pressures are fine.

-Steering wheel slightly turned to the right.

-Central locking works on all doors except the driver’s door - this has been locked manually with the key.

-Rust at the lower edges of the rear doors, and on the rear wheel arches.

-Small tear at the lower part of the driver’s seat.


-When my wife was driving on 8/9 - (as a result, she no longer wants to drive the car with the children)...

"Driven to the shop car park, where it unexpectedly stalled, but then started nicely and was driven into a parking spot. On the way home it did not really want to stay running at low revs; with more throttle it stayed running and drove without problems. At low revs, when it was about to stall, it felt like everything briefly cut out and then came back - almost as if the power had been switched off and on again. It ran nicely in the driveway at home."


On Sun 13/9 it was driven on a long trip so the car warmed up properly, plus some short driving on the driveway, with quick and slow accelerations, and the fault could not be reproduced.


I do not have much knowledge about cars myself. It has been serviced extensively since spring, and it is difficult to take it to a workshop if the fault is not active. Of course, it is possible that there was some moisture somewhere after it went through the car wash on 7/9.

As said, the fault could not currently be reproduced, but I would be prepared for it to recur.
