🔥 Ford Capri MK1 1969 Kent 1600 – a custom classic built from a barn find 🔥

• A rarely offered custom-built first-generation Ford Capri. This 1969 Capri has been saved after years in storage and built over two years into an eye-catching hobby car that is sure to draw attention both at cruises and shows.

• During the project, the body has been repaired for known rust damage and extensive bodywork has been carried out. For example, the front subframes have been renewed and the body has been gone through during the build. However, this is an over-55-year-old classic, so the buyer should inspect it according to their own judgement. The car was painted in 2026 in a striking red-and-white custom livery.

• The Capri’s appearance has been boldly modified in an American-inspired style. The sill extensions have been made from sheet metal, the wheel arches have been widened, the front valance comes from a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro, and the bonnet features a 1990s Camaro scoop. The look is completed by an aluminium rear spoiler.

• The interior has also been refurbished. The seat bases of the front seats have been retrimmed and the door cards have been rebuilt by an upholsterer. The GT instrument cluster completes the sporty feel.

• As for the mechanics, the car has a tubular exhaust manifold, a new exhaust system, Lucas electronic ignition, an electric fuel pump, and twin carburettors. According to the previous owner, a sportier camshaft has been installed in the engine and the engine has been enlarged from the original 1.7-litre unit, but there is no written documentation of the changes.

• The car is fully roadworthy and in daily use.

The car can be viewed at X-TREME MOTOR SHOW 2026 on 19–20 September in Hämeenlinna, where it will be on display at the show or, before the show, by arrangement in Hämeenlinna.
