SFTec ModHeat Wood MHC12 industrial wood chip and biomass dryer – year 2016

The bankruptcy estate is selling the SFTec ModHeat Wood MHC12 industrial dryer located in Rantsila. The machine manuals are included. The manuals will be provided separately on request.

The dryer chamber consists of identical modules, i.e. drying levels, arranged within the drying space. In the ModHeat dryer, material movement is achieved hydraulically. Hydraulic cylinders and the hydraulic power unit, located in the technical room attached to the dryer, move the paddle mechanisms inside the drying levels back and forth. The material to be dried moves horizontally from one drying level to the next through the dryer. The material drops from the discharge opening at the end of each drying level to the next level. The warm air used for drying is blown into the dryer counter-current to the material flow direction. The heated drying air is led via the inlet air duct to the dryer air inlet and further to the dryer inlet air chamber. From the inlet air chamber, the drying air is directed to the drying levels. The air distribution from the inlet air chamber to the drying levels can be adjusted as needed. The drying air circulating against the material flow is in contact with the material being dried and can also pass through the perforated bases of the drying levels through the material bed across the entire drying space.

The equipment may be suitable, for example, for heat and power plants, sawmills, wood chip and biomass businesses, pellet and briquette production, pretreatment of biochar feedstock, and the utilisation of industrial side streams and waste heat.

Condition and test run

The equipment has been unused for about three years. The bankruptcy estate has test-started the dryer, and it started up during the test run. However, the test run was not a comprehensive technical condition inspection and did not verify the operation of all machine functions, components, automation or the drying process.

The bankruptcy estate gives no warranty or responsibility whatsoever for the machine and/or its operating condition, performance, reliability or suitability for the buyer’s intended purpose. The buyer must inspect the item, its condition and documentation to the extent they wish before purchase.

The equipment has been stored outdoors and shows dirt, surface rust and other weathering effects resulting from storage.

Included in the sale

The object of sale is the SFTec ModHeat Wood MHC12 dryer, together with the fixed structures and equipment included in the sale item. The following shown in the images are not included in the sale:

• dryer conveyors

• feed bunker

Accordingly, the above-mentioned equipment will not be transferred to the buyer, even if it appears in the sale images.

The buyer must note that commissioning the dryer at a new site requires the buyer to arrange the necessary material handling equipment, feeding system, and equipment required to produce and supply the drying air.

The item is sold in its current condition and with the equipment present at the time of sale, excluding the above-mentioned equipment outside the scope of the sale.

The item is located in Rantsila.

The buyer must collect the item at their own expense by week 43 at the latest (19–23 October 2026). The item must be paid for before collection. The buyer is responsible for all necessary dismantling, disconnection, lifting, loading, transport, installation, inspection and commissioning measures, as well as the costs arising from them.

Bids placed are binding. The party making the highest bid must pay the purchase price in full to the bank account notified by the bankruptcy estate without delay, and no later than within two (2) days of acceptance of the highest bid. If the highest bid is not paid within two (2) days of acceptance, the highest bidder will be charged the bid amount, the listing fee charged by Huutokaupat.com, and collection costs.
