Mini Morris Mini, 1996, Vihti

This is a 1996 Rover Mini with a soft top. One of the last British Minis before BMW ownership. It has a 1.3-litre injection engine.

The car was running and driveable when it was started to be dismantled, so the mechanics are more or less in order. There is also a video of the car being driven, but I cannot add it here. If you want it to drive well, the shock absorbers and spring cones should be replaced, and at least the steering rack gaiter is torn.

Then to the project side: as you may notice from the pictures, some parts are missing. The reason the front end was dismantled is that the front panels were rusty, except for the bonnet. The bottoms of the doors are also rotten, so the outer door skins need repairing at least. The pictures show the situation quite well.

The rear end and the underside of the car were done by a previous owner, and they also look good overall. I am therefore the car's second owner in Finland. The car likely came to Finland from Belgium originally.

Now that you have the idea that you have always loved bodywork, especially rust repair, this could be your chance to have something to do in the workshop on dark winter evenings.

There is a trolley load of dismantled parts, as well as a brand new windscreen still in its packaging.

You are welcome to come and inspect it by arrangement if interested. The car is not currently running, as the engine electrics are not connected, but it does roll.
