Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, 2011, Jyväskylä

Two-owner Finnish vehicle. The previous owner had owned it since 2013, so it is not a revolving trophy! The previous owner said that the first owner was a living ski jumper who had gained fame around the world. But enough of that, on to the car itself.

Powered by the very robust 3.0 l V6 with the now legendary engine. The previous owner had it inspected just before it was brought to us, so it comes with a fresh inspection. It rides on all-terrain tyres, i.e. all-weather tyres on alloy wheels.

The exterior is finished in black with a matte lacquer surface. Red tubes, painted by RST-Steel, run around the vehicle. The tubes have marker lights, so especially in the dark this will definitely get attention. There are enough auxiliary lights at the front that night turns into day when these are switched on. The lowest auxiliary light and the roof-mounted auxiliary lights also have parking light function, adding the final touch to the exterior.

At the rear there is a spoiler with marker lights and work lights underneath the spoiler. A switch for the work lights is in the cargo area. The exterior is of course not perfect, but no major dents have been avoided. These are shown on video.

The cargo area has ramps on the right side. There is also a switch for the lights on the right-hand side. A roof hatch, inverter and 2 sockets are found in the load space. There is a small door in the partition wall, so if needed you can access the load area from the cabin and back. There are several lashing points / locations, so you can hang up wet clothes and other items securely so they do not end up scattered on the floor.

The interior has a distinctive colour that matches the exterior very well. Fold-out bed with pipe shelf, with mattress and pillow ready in place. The audio has been upgraded; the sound is especially excellent. 2x Kenwood amplifiers are embedded in the wall.

The front passenger seat has a swivel plate, and there also seemed to be a handle for the swivel plate on the driver’s seat, but it appeared to be stuck, so it could not be turned.

There is plenty of shelf space near the roof, as well as a folding TV in the ceiling. This is a 5-seat vehicle, i.e. 3 rear seats. The seats are also adjustable, meaning the seat section moves forwards and backwards while the frame stays in place. The rear seats likely have some kind of locking mechanism, as some of the seats wobble and sometimes seemed to lock into the floor rails. Not investigated further. There are several rails in the floor, so the seating layout can probably also be changed to suit your needs.

The head unit has been replaced, but the steering wheel buttons still work. The head unit displays the reversing camera. The vehicle also has its own fuel-powered auxiliary heater and fuel-powered air heater, with the control in the centre console. The centre console itself is also upholstered to match the interior.
