Nissan Qashqai, 2017, Alavus

Well-maintained Nissan Qashqai from daily use, for repair due to a gearbox fault. It has been in my use for about two years. It has served without issues and been serviced at an authorised dealer fully according to the schedule. No oil has needed to be added to the engine, and to my knowledge the timing chain has not shown any symptoms.

The interior is very clean, and no small children have been transported in the car.

So the CVT gearbox has a fault, i.e. it jerks when accelerating, which most likely is due to the belt inside the gearbox slipping. The transmission oil was not changed during the previous owner's time (the first 120,000 km) or during our ownership, as it is not part of the service programme. After the symptoms started, the oil was changed in the gearbox about a week ago, but the problem did not disappear despite this, so the gearbox internals or the whole gearbox will probably need to be replaced (perhaps a repair of around EUR 3,000-4,000, depending a bit on the options). The fault has been present for a few weeks and has progressively worsened.

Another defect is that the right rear spring is broken and should be replaced. I have already bought a new one and it is included.

The car has an engine block heater and an interior socket. Grill covers are also included.
