The barrel is made of polyethylene plastic and is completely seamless, very easy to keep clean and easy to use.

The complete delivery package includes a stylish plastic cover with lifting handle that withstands snow load, a large approx. 35 kW marine aluminium stove, a drain tap and outlet pipe. The barrel is insulated. The base has a 45 cm Styrofoam filling, so frost will not trouble bathers here. The outer cladding is Finnish heat-treated pine (Lunawood). Hyvän Kaupan Paikka's Classic Hot Tub bath barrel is made in Finland down to the smallest detail. We are very proud of the products from our production line, and we have been making this Classic Hot Tub model for years using the same proven method. The side panels arrive at the factory as long material. They are cut to size and assembled into a unit, inside which the pre-glued insulated base from Sastamala by Jackon and the maintenance-free moulded PE plastic pool from Oulu-based Pipelife are fitted. The production line's experienced bath-barrel specialists drill the drain hole in the base, the stove holes in the side, and fit the hoses in place. Finally, the package is carefully tipped onto its side once more to install the outlet pipe.

The Classic Hot Tub bath barrel is delivered freight-free to its new happy owner, who only needs to have a water hose, firewood and fire-lighting equipment ready. However, the new owner must make sure that the bath barrel is installed level, so that the water does not sit unevenly in the barrel. Installation instructions are included, but in practice the new owner only needs to fasten the stove, placed on a level surface, to the bath barrel with hose clamps, screw the stove drain valve shut and off you go, into the bath.

Improved seating comfort in a rotationally moulded pool - also for taller bathers

The maintenance-free, moulded PE plastic pool comes to us from almost next door, from Pipelife in Oulu. In their factories, a rotationally moulded pool is formed from plastic granulate as the result of a precise process. The plastic granulate is placed in a mould and the mould rotates in an oven for an hour. After cooling, the pool is ready to be moved to Hyvän Kaupan Paikka's production line.

We have paid particular attention to seating comfort in the pool design. The sides of the pool are not vertical, as a wedge-shaped insulating air gap has been left between the pool and the side panelling, which supports the bather's back more gently. The edges of our pools are on average higher than those of other manufacturers, so even taller bathers' shoulders sink below the surface of the steaming hot bath water and their necks do not start to freeze. Seating comfort is top class and your legs will not be twisted in this bath barrel, as the bench is not too low despite the height.

Super-efficient marine aluminium stove

Hyvän Kaupan Paikka's bath barrel packages include marine aluminium stoves made in Finland. With an output of 35 kW, the stove is not even afraid of seawater, as it works with both fresh and seawater. Carefully considered details in the materials make the stove a top-class product. Marine aluminium conducts heat excellently, the front plate is stainless steel, and the glass door lets you check the fire without opening the door. The stove package includes two metres of flue pipe and a rain cap, but if you want more pipe, a chimney guard or a spark guard, take a look at the accessories list.

Remember that chlorine is not recommended with marine aluminium, as chlorine starts to oxidise the marine aluminium. We recommend changing the water often enough and using active oxygen tablets (see accessories list). Active oxygen oxidises the water for about a day, after which the water can also be used for watering, as it does not contain any additional chemicals and is also safer for children. Water without active oxygen can easily form a slimy surface on the edges of the bath, but active oxygen prevents this process.

Easy maintenance with little effort

In the Classic Hot Tub, your backside will not freeze even when the ground freezes. The 45 cm insulating Styrofoam at the bottom prevents the cold from reaching the base of the pool and at the same time keeps the water warmer. The delivery includes a plastic cover, which significantly reduces heat loss. A well-heated bath barrel can be warmed up again the next morning with one load of firewood.

There is also plenty of warmth in the heat-treated pine panels of Lunawood, which crown the appearance of the bath barrel as the pool's outer edge material. You do not need to do anything to the pine panels if you do not want to. Over the years, the surface will then weather to a beautiful grey. However, if you want to preserve the brown tone, apply wood oil once a year. The maintenance-free nature also applies to the plastic pool, since there are no moulded seams in the plastic pool, so dirt cannot collect in any particular spots. However, remember to keep the pool surfaces clean when changing the water. This is easy to do with normal detergents. The most thorough users may occasionally clean the pool more aggressively, i.e. disinfect it, but remember to take care of wastewater properly.
