The car has no strange smells, air suspension, cruise control, navigation, air conditioning and the other buttons and gadgets all work as they should. The air suspension may be a little sluggish, but it rises and lowers to the position you want.

Now that the praise is out of the way, I'll continue with the drawbacks, as there seem to be at least one or two in every car:

• There are scratches around the boot area, the front left and right arches. There is no rust here, although there is some slight surface rust underneath. Visible in the pictures.

• When reversing, it sometimes jerks, as if something were catching. Likewise, while driving, I felt it vibrated more than usual. You can notice it clearly during hard braking.

• The air suspension could perhaps be a bit more lively, but it works.

• The windscreen has a couple of stone chips. The downside is that there are, well, a couple of chips, but the car has a heated windscreen, so replacing it without insurance will cost a fair amount. It has not started cracking, which is a good thing here!

• The summer tyres are almost ready for replacement. There may be tread for this season only.
