Available is a Skoda Octavia that came in part exchange from a customer and was rejected at inspection due to rust damage. However, the vehicle may still be driven within the inspection period: until 18 August 2026.

The reasons for rejection were:

  • Rust damage to the side sills on the left and right. (see pictures)

  • Rust damage to the rear axle beam on the left. (see pictures)


Mechanically, the car appeared to be functioning on the test drive. The engine, gearbox and handling felt normal, and nothing unusual was noticed during the test drive.


The latest owner has done the servicing themselves in recent years. However, the service book contains a record of a major service where the timing chain/belt assembly with water pump, auxiliary belt and starter motor were replaced.
