Metsähallitus is selling at auction Petola Nature Centre and the commercial and accommodation buildings on the same property. The property is located on a private waterfront plot near the Tönölänsalmi bridge at Lentiirantie 342, 88900 Kuhmo. The bidder accepts and consents that Metsähallitus, as the seller, will check the buyer's background before accepting the bid.

The seller will decide to accept or reject the bid within 14 days from the end of the auction.

The bidder must make an independent assessment of the property's value before participating in the auction by inspecting the property, its documents, the condition and usability of buildings, and any repair needs and costs.

The buyer undertakes to sign the deed of sale within 30 days of acceptance of the bid.

The seller will prepare the deed and obtain certificates related to the property.

The purchase price must be paid by bank transfer to the account specified by the seller before signing the sale.

The deed is to be signed primarily electronically via the National Land Survey's Property Exchange service.

When using the Property Exchange service, the buyer's service fee is approximately 40, which includes applying for title registration (lainhuuto).

The transfer tax (3% of the purchase price) must be paid immediately, as the application for title registration is made at the time of sale. A sale confirmer (kaupanvahvistaja) is not required when using the electronic service.

If the deed is signed otherwise than electronically, the buyer is responsible for applying for title registration and its costs, and for the sale confirmer's fee.
