Defects and other observations

In March the car broke down because it wouldn’t start in freezing temperatures and ran unevenly.

In May the injector for the 6th cylinder was replaced, and the ignition coil now seems to be working OK.

During the winter the engine warning light occasionally came on with a code such as "Bank 1 catalyst ineffective".

The exhaust gaskets were in poor condition and I replaced them during the repair; the warning has not returned.

The valve cover gasket leaks a little oil, so an oil smell sometimes gets into the interior.
