Citroën for sale

I am selling the car because, after MRI scans of my thoracic and cervical spine, driving has become difficult. I would need to drive with a neck brace, which is impractical, so the car should go to the next owner.

It has air conditioning and it works very well.

Condition and repairs carried out

The car is an old Citroën. A year ago it was taken for a wash and inspection. At that time the following were repaired/replaced, among other things:

• plastic covers for the registration lights

• electrics for the front windows

• alignment and markings of the left headlight

About 1 year 10 months ago a roughly €2,000 repair was carried out, replacing:

• front suspension/axle components

• control arms

• dog bones (suspension links)

• four-wheel alignment

• brakes

The oils were changed at a workshop. On later inspection there was practically no oil consumption and the oil was still clear.

Observed faults and notes

• There are faults in the front door electrics; connectors/terminal blocks etc. need servicing.

• The front electric windows sometimes work only if the door panel is moved.

• The rear muffler needs replacing (estimated about €50 from Motonet).

• The driver's door lock or keys are worn. If I had continued driving I would have had one key made, as one is worn and the other is already showing signs of failure.

• When using the spare key the immobiliser may sometimes cut the ignition. The ring/inner part of the key may be damaged.

• There is a reversing dent on the tailgate.

• The glovebox lid lock is broken.

Tyres

Included:

• 4 summer tyres on alloy wheels

• 4 summer tyres without rims

• winter tyres with wheels

The winter tyres were bought about 1.5 years ago from a workshop and are still in good condition. The tyres shown in the picture are stored in a cage and the photo was taken through the mesh. The brand may be Hankook.

General

The car has been a reliable daily driver for me. Rides have been comfortable; the car is economical, handy and spacious. The body has no rust issues.

The car is currently dirty because the last drive was in the rain on the Helsinki–Lohja route.

I can't think of anything else essential right now. This would suit the next owner as an everyday car or a hobby project.
