Brought to Finland from Estonia in 2019 as a moving vehicle by the previous owner. Many original documents included.

Overall condition satisfactory: paintwork is worn, there is rust and spot paint, but it remains a period‑faithful "summer car" that is mechanically sound.

The automatic gearbox shifts smoothly; its oil and seals have been replaced. The original carburettor has been replaced with the newer Mk3 Golf single‑point injection, and a Mk3 Golf fuel tank with an in‑tank pump has also been fitted.

I bought the car damaged — the wiring between the gear lever and the main harness was burnt. The wiring has been repaired and the car functions in all respects.

The interior is intact, with the more comfortable GL‑spec seats, a soft dashboard and the original Volkswagen Alpha radio. The doors have period‑appropriate Alpine speakers. There are rear speakers too, but they are not connected. There is a small cut in the headlining at the front.

The car sits on good condition summer tyres with period MiM 1900 aluminium wheels, size 15x7 ET 13. The wheels and tyres fit the car well.

The suspension has been lowered with springs — the modifications are functional.

Also included are hardly‑used winter tyres a couple of years old on the car’s original Volkswagen wheels. For winter there is also a period‑appropriate Thule ski box with roof racks.

The car is inspected and road‑legal, so test drives are possible.

A CarVertical report is available and there are many receipts from Estonia and Finland for parts and repairs. A comprehensive set of spare parts is included for the enthusiast.
