Chevrolet El Camino, 1981, Mustasaari

Beautiful Finnish Camino looking for a new owner who will use it more. Selling to reduce the number of vehicles as another is arriving.

I bought the car in 2021. Oil changed annually.

Car professionally repainted in 2023. Glossy black with a hint of "RubinRed" metallic flake. Looks especially striking in sunlight but generally appears black. Bumpers sandblasted and painted at the same time.

Rear lights, headlights, headlight surrounds and door handles replaced.

New Barzetta Titanium LipPolish wheels 8x17" and 9x17" with new tyres. 215/45 and 245/45/17".

The interior was originally entirely beige with separate seats, but previous owners fitted black door cards and a blue bench to allow three people to sit. Otherwise the original floor, gear lever and light carpet are still in place.

The engine runs well and the gearbox works as it should, but it leaks a little oil as these often do. Cruise control does not work.

Electric windows, new Bluetooth head unit and 6x9 speakers.

Oil and filter changed on 12 April 2026.

Great car overall — not new and shows some age-related patina and small things to improve here and there. Every US-car enthusiast knows what they are buying when they get one of these.

Thanks to Chevy engineering it performs like a 305/350 with moderate consumption. Fun cruiser for the summer — plenty to talk about and heads turn wherever you drive.

The Camino is a legend everyone knows. And now this gem could be yours!

Side pipes give a nice rumble.

Has passed inspection every year. In good working condition, no rust.
