A cheap Civic with the bombproof 1.6 VTEC setup (D16V1 engine) has arrived in the bay.


On a test drive the driving feel was excellent (for its age). It steers well, the brakes don’t shudder and the power is nicely preserved. It accelerates well and stops even better. The brakes do not vibrate and the drivetrain is faultless. Gears operate smoothly.

Minor knocking from the suspension (a small sharp pothole causes a bang. Either the dogbone or another ball joint?).
