A timing chain kit was just fitted to the car but there is still an engine fault and the revs jump; here is the workshop's note:

This car has now been reassembled and the timing is correct, but the car is not in good condition. On the first test drive the car ran well, but after being outside overnight and when we began checking the oil leak the running is the same as before and the same faults remain in the fault memory. The fault codes still support replacing the camshafts — oil pressure escapes from the camshaft adjusters and they adjust incorrectly due to camshaft wear. The oil leak does come from the cooler area, but the cooler itself is unlikely to be broken because then there would be a lot of oil; now possibly the seals are leaking there.
