⚠️ Diesel heater safety instructions

The diesel heater's combustion process consumes oxygen and produces hazardous exhaust gases. Incorrect installation can lead to carbon monoxide poisoning or fire.

1. Exhaust management (Primary rule)

• Exhaust to outdoors only: Exhaust gases must be routed completely outdoors with a metal exhaust pipe — never into the building, tent or vehicle interior.

• Sealing: Ensure the exhaust connection to the heater body is sealed with the supplied clamp. Even a small leak into the interior can be fatal.

• CO alarm: Always install a quality carbon monoxide alarm in the space. It’s an inexpensive life insurance.

  
  

2. Exhaust temperature and insulation

The exhaust pipe reaches very high temperatures during operation.

• Max temperature: Diesel heater exhaust temperature can rise at the outlet to 250–450 °C depending on power. The metal pipe itself can glow hot.

• Penetrations: If the exhaust pipe passes through a wall or floor, use non-combustible insulation (e.g. rock wool or a dedicated metal penetration sleeve). The pipe must not contact wood, plastic or other flammable materials directly.

• Clearance: Keep the exhaust pipe at least 10 cm away from any meltable or flammable material along its entire length.

  
  

3. Combustion air and heated-air intake

• Separate air intakes: Ensure the heater’s exhaust is not near its combustion air intake or the heated air inlet. Otherwise the unit may draw its own exhaust back in.

  
  

4. Fuel handling

• Place the fuel tank so that any possible leak cannot spill diesel onto a hot exhaust pipe.
