Identified defects

Selling for repair. Vehicle brought in on a trailer. The workshop inspected the car; below are the observations and faults noted by the workshop representative:
- Battery, brake, diesel particulate filter and engine warning lights are illuminated on the dashboard
- Driven in on Monday; would not start on Tuesday, battery at least flat/dead
- Engine oil cooler or filter housing leaking oil
- Intake manifold flap motor linkages do not stay attached; the right linkage has been wrapped with tape to hold it
- Aluminium plates by the injectors on top of the valve covers attempted to be sealed with silicone
- Injector connector locking clips broken and the return hose partly secured with cable ties
- Turbo has no axial play, but the turbine wheel shows considerable lateral play
- Throttle flap squeaks; the squeak stopped and now the electric motor runs continuously, spinning free inside the throttle body
- Fault memory read. Engine management shows codes P3338, P1545, P1573, P1018, P0684, P1569, P1653

P3338, P1545, P1018 do not clear. Other systems show undervoltage fault codes
- EGR valve leaks and is black from exhaust soot
- Left rear shock absorber top mount split down the middle
- Front shock absorbers leaking
- Rear brake hoses bulged/damaged
- Rear lower control arms rusted through from the inside
- Oil around the steering rack, leaking. Likely the return line is split; cannot be inspected properly without disassembly



The car is sold with the above fault information from our partner's yard. It will not start; battery is dead. The buyer is responsible for proper collection.
