KIA Sorento ** For repair! **, 2005, Vihti

For sale is a Finnish Kia Sorento 2.4 LX requiring refurbishment, with a manual gearbox and selectable four-wheel drive (low-range gearing 4LO / 4HI / 2HI). This SUV has covered a modest 194,500 km, and its traditional 2.4-litre petrol engine, combined with a separate chassis, gives it genuine workhorse character. The car’s most expensive and important service has recently been completed, as the timing belt was replaced in January 2026; the previous basic service was carried out at 190,000 km. The car is currently prohibited from driving due to its inspection status. The issues to note can be found in the condition inspection report, a photo of which is in the latest images.

During a test drive, the car appeared to function properly: it was pleasantly firm to drive, the gears engaged smoothly and the chassis felt solid. The windscreen is intact. It has Kia’s own alloy wheels with one set of tyres: coarse-tread All-Terrain tyres with an excellent 7–8 mm of tread. A condition inspection has been carried out, and the next owner will have repair work to complete before the vehicle can pass its inspection: there are several rust defects in the chassis (rust-damaged rear wheel arches on both the right and left, the rear crossmember on the right, and the sill boxes on both sides at the rear). In addition, the OBD warning light indicates a fault and the emissions test values are too high (the CO, HC and Lambda values deviate from the permitted limits at elevated engine speeds). The type of front headlight bulbs should also be checked. The car is therefore sold as requiring repairs / fixing by a capable person in these respects.
