KIA Rio, 2018 1.0 T-GDI with Webasto

A rare treat: Webasto with remote control! What could be better than starting a winter morning in a warm car while the neighbour is left scraping the windows ;) An economical runabout, although longer journeys are also very comfortable. Solid to drive, and the cruise control makes things more relaxing. Low tyre pressure monitoring, heated steering wheel, heated seats, start/stop, electric windows and mirrors, and Bluetooth on the radio. Fuel consumption is under 5 l/100 km on the open road, 5–6 l/100 km in the capital region and just over 6 l/100 km in the city centre. Plenty of room for a taller driver too – I am 191 cm and the steering wheel and seat adjust very well.

I bought the car in spring 2025 as a second car and for teaching my child to drive. It spent much of the year unused, so not many kilometres were added during that time. Now there is a manual driving licence in the pocket, and we will switch to an electric car once a charging point is available at home.

Overall, clean and in good condition. The Webasto, air conditioning (serviced) and everything else work. The suspension makes no knocking noises, the timing chain does not rattle and the clutch feels good. The turbo “kicks in” nicely and the car is lively despite its small engine. Original alloy wheels with good-condition Continental summer and friction tyres, so there is no need to buy tyres for several years. Fabric and rubber mats. The paintwork is in good condition.

There are a few things to mention. The leather steering wheel covering shows wear and the driver's seat is worn at the edge. The seat has now been stitched and looks quite tidy. There is a crack in the rear bumper from someone bumping it in a car park without leaving their details. It is unobtrusive enough that I have not considered it necessary to repair. There is a small dent in the tailgate, also barely noticeable. The front inner wheel arch liner has a crack and looks as though the tyre has worn through it. I do not know how this happened, unless it somehow came loose and bent against the tyre (possibly due to snow). This was already done by the previous owner.

Despite these minor shortcomings, it is an all-round sound car, so do not hesitate to place a bid!
