The dashcam is an unobtrusive accessory for recording traffic situations through your car’s windscreen. Car cameras are designed so that they do not require any special attention from the driver while driving.

Equipped with a wide-angle lens, the device independently records and saves moving video of everything visible ahead. The camera starts automatically as soon as power is connected and the vehicle starts moving, and switches off when the car’s power is turned off. A windscreen camera may also be useful in possible collision and dispute situations.

A car camera, or dashcam, is attached to the car’s dashboard or the inside of the windscreen to record events while driving. It provides valuable evidence in unclear situations, such as collisions.

Some people also use a car camera to record road-trip videos, as a camera with a sufficiently wide angle conveniently captures the scenery during the journey.
