For sale is a 7-seater VW Touran 1.4 TSI with DSG automatic transmission, model year 2010, which has been used as a courtesy car here for around three years. It has served us well, and during our ownership it has always been serviced and inspected on time. No major repairs have been needed; one front spring and its top mount were replaced at last year's inspection, and a door lock mechanism was recently replaced. Otherwise, it has managed with routine servicing. A slight rattling noise has been heard from the timing system during cold starts for 1–2 seconds throughout our ownership. It has not worsened at all during our use.

Pros:

• Sound, good-feeling car to drive; it has never left us stranded during our three years of ownership

• The 7-seat layout offers good travel options for a larger family

• Engine and gearbox work well; it does not use oil excessively, etc.

• No unusual noises from the suspension

• Good 16-inch summer tyres on alloy wheels

• Good 15-inch studded winter tyres on steel wheels

• 2-DIN head unit with navigation, phone, Bluetooth, etc. The navigation antenna should be installed elsewhere for a proper signal. NOTE! The original head unit is also included if desired.

Cons:

• slight rattling from the timing system on cold starts (1–2 seconds)

• Some rust and scraping marks on the bodywork; see photos

If cosmetics are not a major concern, this is an excellent, good car that should serve well for a long time yet. Most of the rust can be concealed with a single spray can, if you feel like tidying it up. We have not cosmetically prepared it ourselves, in case the buyer wants to carry out the repairs properly or better than with spray paint.
