  • Bulb fault
    The bulb warning light is illuminated due to an electrical fault. Headlamp electrical fault:
    An electrical fault/power surge occurred when replacing the xenon bulb. At present, the left front headlamp is completely out. Otherwise, the lights and car operate normally during a short drive. The fault has been investigated by an authorised dealer, whose diagnosis is as follows:

    • Electrical system and fuses: The fuses are intact, but the power supply to the left front headlamp is not working. The electrical centre has probably burned out.

    • Headlamp and wiring: There is corrosion on the headlamp and connector pins, and the wiring inside the headlamp and the connector housing's earth wire have melted. Moisture has entered the headlamp, causing the control units to short-circuit. The vehicle-side wiring harness has become slightly heated.

    • Control units: The fault memory contains a code from the AFS control unit (missing coding), and recoding is not possible. The electrical centre and headlamp control unit (J343) may be faulty.

    According to the authorised dealer, new control units are difficult to obtain directly from the factory.
