Mazda 626, 1989, Vantaa

For sale is this good Mazda 626 GD 2.0 12v with a carburettor engine and automatic transmission. The automatic shifts smoothly for its age. The car has covered 168,000 km and is in daily use.
The underside is rust-free. The car passed its MOT on 5 August 2026.
I have owned it for 2 years and have carried out the following maintenance:

List of the major work
Valve lifters replaced; the engine no longer rattles
Carburettor ultrasonically cleaned and gaskets replaced
Cooling system flushed
Rocker cover gasket replaced
Timing belt service completed last year
Oil and filter changed 7,000 km ago

Many other maintenance jobs have also been carried out. A large bundle of receipts for all the work is included.

No oil leaks; fluids stay where they should

Electric mirrors work

Cruise control works

Electric windows work

Heater fan works and the car is pleasantly warm in winter as well as in summer

Drawbacks-
The carburettor needs adjustment. In particular, when starting cold, it needs several attempts before it stays running, but it always starts regardless of the weather. I suspect the automatic choke needs adjustment?
There is a hole in the exhaust
The rear wheel arches will need attention at some point.
The paintwork is relatively tidy
Three banana boxes of spare parts are included. An air-conditioning compressor is also included, but there is no guarantee that it works. I have managed without air conditioning.
The carburettor is assembled from two units—a mixture of a manual and an automatic version—as I could not find a new or used replacement.
Two sets of wheels included: summer tyres on alloy wheels and winter tyres on steel wheels

I bought the winter tyres last year.
