Legendary Toyota Land Cruiser HJ80 – a striking, well-maintained off-roader!

Here is a handsome and rugged HJ80 Land Cruiser for autumn trips. This classic Toyota has an impressive body kit, and examples in this condition are rarely available today.

The body and chassis are in really good condition. The vehicle looks smart and is fitted with almost unused Toyo mud tyres with large lugs, which suit this off-roader perfectly.

The mechanics work well. The engine still has plenty of power and the gearbox changes correctly. The front and rear axle locks have been tested and work. The rear diff lock requires attention, however: it does not always engage immediately.


Servicing and repairs carried out

In November 2025 / at 561,600 km:

- Timing belt replaced

- Batteries replaced

- Engine oil and filter changed

- Chassis greased

- Differential and gearbox oils checked

- Exhaust replaced

The vehicle has been driven very little since then.

In September 2026, before the inspection:

- Rear brake discs and pads replaced

- Left rear brake calliper and brake hose replaced

- Rear universal joint on the front propeller shaft replaced

- Anti-roll bar bushes and drop links replaced

- Front hub oil seals replaced

- Front differential oil changed

- Wheel arches welded and the left rear sill end repaired

- Chassis greased

The vehicle has been well cared for, with extensive recent servicing and necessary repairs carried out. Some service parts that came with the vehicle are included.
