Defects and other observations

Known faults and deficiencies:

  • The steering rack leaks oil from the right-hand side.

  • The parking rings, i.e. the angel-eye lights in the front headlights, have burnt out.

  • One of the front fog lights gives a fault warning.

  • The manual mode of the gearbox does not work. Apparently, the microswitch in the gear selector unit is faulty; this has not been investigated further. The D and DS positions work correctly.

  • The torque converter and mechatronics sealing kit were recently replaced.

  • The glass sunroof and rear window wiper do not work.

  • The wiring harness has a typical fault: the parking sensors malfunction and mostly do not work.

  • The air-conditioning compressor makes a slight whining noise, but the air conditioning works. The air conditioning was also recently recharged.

  • The body is generally in good condition, apart from the boot lid, which has starting rust.

  • There are minor scratches on the right rear door, shown in the listing photos.

  • The valve cover gasket is sweating on the exhaust manifold side.

  • The car occasionally gives a single jerk during steady-speed motorway driving.
