Honda HR-V – a high-mileage example that still has the makings of a usable car



Up for auction is a Honda HR-V with 374,214 km on the clock. The car runs on petrol and has a manual gearbox. It has aged and covered plenty of miles, so this is not a beauty contest winner, but a suitable HR-V for someone looking for an inexpensive runabout, a repair/project car or a field car.


The car has clearly visible rust and signs of use for its age and mileage, which we have tried to show openly in the photos. Rust can be found, among other places, at the lower edge and inner seam of the tailgate, around the fuel filler opening, on the rear arches, sills, and the seams of the doors and body. The rust at the lower edge of the tailgate is in places severe.

The body also has more scratches, wear and other signs of ageing than usual. The interior is used and needs cleaning, but appears reasonable for its age.

- Suspension does not knock

- Brakes are worn out
