Arctic Hot Tub! No more drinks warmed by the water

Who would want to sip refreshments that have been warmed in a hot tub? No one! That is why Hyvän Kaupan Paikka's hot tub designers have come up with integrated ledges with drink holders for the Arctic Hot Tub. The ledge is not only a waiting lounge for tub beers, ciders, soft drinks and cocktails, but you can also place candles and lanterns on it for atmosphere. It also works excellently for children’s tub activities, as swims goggles and toys can be set down there during breaks from diving. The ledge’s many uses are limited only by imagination, so it is truly versatile. You can even place earrings or a smart watch in the drink openings if you are unsure whether they are waterproof. Even though time is not something you are meant to track while soaking, it is handy to glance at your phone resting on the ledge. Eight drink recesses are enough even for a larger bathing group.

Innovative design – square-oval shape

We decided to combine two beautiful design languages into one and created the square-oval shape of Arctic Hot Tub. The design speaks both practicality and beauty. The shape makes the ledges possible and gives the traditional round hot tub form extra character. Arctic Hot Tub is an excellent fit for Finnish determination and straightforwardness. However, the corners have been softened from the Finnish ‘suo, kuokka ja Jussi’ spirit, because no one needs to tense up in a hot tub. Although the tub is named Arctic, we still recommend warming the water before getting in.

Easy-to-use, versatile Step In stairs

You might not think one plastic step can do so much, but it really can. We have designed the Step In stair that makes getting into the tub easier to suit the Arctic Hot Tub perfectly. Naturally, the step also makes getting out of the tub easier, but it can also serve as a seat for a smaller child when otherwise their head would sink too low in the seat. In use, we have also found the step to work well as an armrest, making Arctic Hot Tub a convenient water recliner. The Step In solution makes Arctic Hot Tub suitable for bathers of all ages and helps people with reduced mobility enjoy bathing. In the arctic conditions of the Finnish winter, aching limbs are easier to lower into the gently warm water thanks to Arctic's Step In stair.

What colour shall we choose?

Hyvän Kaupan Paikka's relaxed approach is also reflected in the hot tub selection. We offer hot tubs for all kinds of needs and tastes. You can get the Arctic Hot Tub dressed to suit your own preferences. You can choose the colour of the plastic tub yourself from five different options and consider the placement of the Step In stair in relation to the stove. And that’s not all. You can also choose the outer cladding material from three options and pick the cover colour between black and grey. The colour range takes its inspiration from nature, with options such as sea blue or lichen grey. All shades are compatible and work well together.

Arctic conditions – efficient insulation

To ensure the Arctic Hot Tub lives up to its name, we wrapped the tub in proper insulation! Under the plastic tub there is 44 cm of EPS insulation, which keeps the frost at bay and the bath water hot even in colder winter weather. We also lined the sides of the tub with plenty of thermo plastic so that the edges are insulated too. This highly insulating hot tub retains heat so effectively that a well-covered Arctic Hot Tub is still warm the next day. For the coldest frost-nips, we recommend burning one load of wood for the next day’s water play, but the tub is bath-ready again in no time. Get the wood for the stove, change gear, wash up and sort out the tub drinks, and then just get in and bathe.

Gentle warmth, efficiently

The efficient marine aluminium Arctic stove heats the water to bathing temperature in just a couple of hours. The stove’s 35 kilowatts of full power are contained in durable marine aluminium, which conducts heat well. The stove is fitted with a beautiful glass door so that the wood-fired tub creates a lovely glow without needing to open the door to check the fire.

The marine aluminium stoves included in Hyvän Kaupan Paikka's hot tub package are made in Finland. This powerful stove is not even bothered by seawater, as it works with both fresh water and seawater. Carefully considered material details make the stove a hot top-class product. The stove package includes two metres of flue pipe and a rain cap, but if you want more pipe, a chimney protective grille or a spark guard, take a look at the accessories list.

Remember that chlorine is not recommended with marine aluminium, as chlorine starts to oxidise it. We recommend changing the water often enough and using active oxygen tablets (see accessories list). Active oxygen oxidises the water for about a day, after which the water can also be used for watering, as it contains no added chemicals and is safer for children too. Water without active oxygen can easily start forming a slimy surface on the edges of the tub, but active oxygen prevents this process.

Carefree plastic tub

The uniquely designed and carefully engineered seating comfort of the Arctic Hot Tub’s tub section is made of moulded Jaxal polyethylene plastic. This plastic has memory, meaning it wants to keep the shape it was moulded into. Easy-care and carefree, the plastic tub stands the test of time excellently, which is why we dare to offer a ten-year warranty on it.

Because the plastic tub has no cast seams, dirt cannot collect in any particular places. However, remember to keep the surfaces of the tub clean when changing the water. This is easy to do with normal cleaning agents. The most exacting users can occasionally clean the tub more aggressively, i.e. disinfect it, but remember to take proper care of wastewater treatment.
