Identified faults: Leak-by measurement carried out. At cylinder 1 the intake valve was found not to close fully. There are also significant differences in cylinder compression pressures, and in three cylinders the pressure is below 10 bar (minimum requirement).

The engine warning light came on while driving; the vehicle was then switched off and would not restart. The engine has not been examined further beyond the compression test and leak-by measurement.
