Toyota Land Cruiser, 2003, Siuntio

This J120 Land Cruiser has been very extensively refurbished for use.

Long story, but in short:

Fenders, bumpers, door trims, wheel arch extensions, the fuel tank, etc. were removed from the vehicle.

The chassis and frame were sandblasted as thoroughly as possible and all rust was properly repaired afterwards.

Two coats of 2K epoxy primer were applied everywhere, two coats of black polyurethane topcoat. For rust protection a Dinitrol ML primer was applied and, once dry, a thin layer of Dinitrol Metallic underbody coating diluted with ML was added.

New front wings (the old ones had rotted under the arch extensions), a "new" intact tailgate, body repainted except for the roof.

Both wheel sets were sandblasted and powder-coated in the same dark grey shade. New tyres on both sets: summer tyres are Hankook all-terrain 265/70 (driven 4–5 thousand kilometres), winter tyres are 265/65 Nokian Nordman studded tyres.

Other replaced parts:

• Fuel tank brackets

• Brake pipes at the front from the ABS pump to the calipers, plus brake hoses to every corner; new front calipers and pads, new rear brake shoes (rear calipers had been replaced earlier)

• Front brake shields, primed and top-coated

• Rear shock absorbers, Sachs

• 4× wheel bearings

• Alternator, air conditioning compressor, AC condenser/core, AC pipe from front to condenser, AC re-gas

• Service: engine oil + filter, air filter, cabin filter, fuel filter, gearbox oil flushed with 20 L + filter, rear differential oils; front differential + transfer case not yet changed; driveshafts greased

• Four-wheel alignment

• Full soundproofing of the car: roof, floor, doors

• Touchscreen Android head unit + reversing camera

• Timing components replaced at 448,000 km

• Mounting brackets for trim panels

The car is not flawless, but you will struggle to find tidier examples. Inside there are mainly signs of wear on the door panels, dashboard, steering wheel and armrest. The spare wheel was originally fitted to the tailgate but it was in such poor condition it was not restored. A panel was needed for the tailgate; it is not yet fitted and is a different shade to the vehicle's own inner panels. New hinges were fitted when the tailgate was changed. The mechanicals run very well — no complaints; the oil strainer was also checked during service. There are certainly things I have not remembered, but this should be enough to get started.

Auxiliary lights are not included in the sale, but the light bar is. The vehicle has an engine block heater; its cables are not yet connected and will be sorted before handover.
