Engine fault: Stalled while idling in the yard. It still turned over with the starter motor, though sounded stiff. Won't start. Fault not investigated and the car has not been dismantled.


UPDATE 1 July at 20:00:

The car started well with jump-start power and the engine sounded normal (VIDEO ADDED). When revved it began smoking / running on oil but was soon shut down (Possibly a functioning electronic throttle prevented total destruction)


After this we did not risk starting it again and inspected as follows:

  • Oil level normal

  • Oil filter removed: No obvious metal flakes etc.

  • Engine turns by hand via the crankshaft pulley.


Not inspected, has been stationary for a long time, battery dead.


Sold as a whole for repair or dismantling!
