Audi A4, 2011, Lappeenranta

A popular A4 Audi Le Mans for the next family — a nice soul but a slightly scarred body. Technically sound but the body needs some cosmetic attention if you want it flawless.

I test-drove this car: the engine runs very smoothly and feels lively. The gearbox shifts smoothly and the clutch feels firm. The air conditioning blows properly cold when needed. The ride and steering also feel reasonably composed. Mechanically, it’s a decent example for its mileage.

Body condition: Typical early rust on the front and rear arches. Apart from that the body is fairly tidy and the panels are straight. Fix the arches and it will look very neat for the kilometres it has (See pictures)

Interior condition: Appropriate and tidy for the mileage. Driver’s seat shows normal wear, no strong odours and it has not been smoked in. Steering wheel, buttons etc. in good condition. (See pictures)

Windshield: Acceptable, a few small chips

Tyres: Summer tyres on Japan Racing alloys, 225/45R18, tread approx. 3–4 mm. Winter tyres on original alloys with Pirelli studded tyres, very good tread, approx. 8 mm and studs intact

Service history: Engine overhaul at 193,000 km: (All new gaskets, timing-chain kit including three chains, guides, tensioners and required bolts. All valves, guides and seals in the cylinder head replaced.) Picture of the receipt. Otherwise serviced properly, service book photographed
