Porsche Cayenne – eye-catching, drivable SUV at auction


Now offered: a black Porsche Cayenne that is still driveable but is sold as a project due to an engine running fault. The engine misfires/stutters and can stall intermittently. The fault log has been followed and shows deviation in the engine timing/timing adjustment, returning a fault code for crankshaft–camshaft correlation, i.e. a timing error. A timing-chain repair may be required. Through our parts suppliers a new chain kit is approx. €1,200 plus labour.


The car is externally tidy and, overall, an impressive SUV with good equipment and a comfortable driving feel.

The vehicle can be driven, but the engine does not run completely smoothly; it stutters and there is a clear fault. For this reason the car requires repair and attention, although basic driving is possible.
