Up for auction: BMW 116! With a little work this could still be a very good car for someone, even for long-term use!

Workshop diagnosis of the car is below:

Checked the engine bay for oil leaks.
=> Oil observed leaking e.g. from the oil sump, the crankcase breather and around the oil filler cap.

Car lifted on a hoist
Front undertray removed

Oil leak found at the oil pump => belt tension checked
=> ok

Also observed oil leaking from the oil sump gasket area on both sides of the engine

The turbo oil lines are hard to see on this engine
=> however small dampness was observed where visible.

Several oil-leak points on the engine and the owner reports occasional blue smoke, which suggests oil is entering the combustion chamber.
Ignition coils and spark plugs removed

Cylinders inspected with an endoscope
=> valves around cylinders 1 and 4 wet with oil
=> piston crowns of cylinders 2 and 3 oily and damp.

Car reassembled

Fault codes read
=> report taken

Car driven outside.

Driving is not recommended due to oil leaks

The engine requires seal replacements in multiple places, and at minimum replacement of the valve stem seals on the cylinder head.
Other possible mechanical problems cannot be detected or excluded at this stage.
