Now up for auction: a tidy Skoda Octavia Scout!

The interior and exterior are in clean condition; it drives well with no complaints.

The car has been inspected by several garages, but no cause has been found for it stalling at idle in freezing temperatures. The fault only appears in cold conditions, so at the moment the car runs completely normally.

Most recently the car was inspected in May 2026 at Vagen:

- Crankshaft position sensor – connector OK, original sensor in place; wire was moved and the sensor cooled with freeze spray -> no stalling or other running symptoms

- Camshaft position sensor – same treatment, no running symptoms

- Auxiliary heater test run – the heater works correctly; the car started after using the heater

- Temperature sensors – all show logical readings and rise to operating temperature

- Valve adjuster holds its set value well (camshaft)

- Readiness code – the car passes internal system tests, so no component is reported as faulty by the control unit

- Battery and charging – battery coding was incorrect -> corrected. Charging behaved unusually – at motorway speed with ~1500 rpm the vehicle voltage could drop below 12 V, and the start‑stop system did not work because the car detected excessive power draw. -> After coding the battery and adapting the alternator, the charging system is OK. The car has advanced power‑management features: during engine braking it can charge up to 14.8 V and in light driving charging is kept around 13.5 V. The start‑stop system also began to work.
