15-metre steel boat with sauna, Savonlinna

Relatively modern-looking old tug. Built in 1931 and converted into a pleasure vessel in the 1980s. Needs repairs to operate under its own engine, but with interior renovation (and replacement of the propeller shaft seal).

Could provide low-cost accommodation (e.g. for Airbnb at the harbour). Currently on dry land at Laitaatsilta shipyard in Savonlinna. Repairs can be continued at the shipyard if desired.

DEFECTS:

• Propeller shaft seal is leaking (water has collected across the keel area)

• Engine faulty (does not start)

• Many other repairs needed both outside and inside

• Upper deck: Sauna with wood-fired stove and hot-water tank, fits three adults.

• Wheelhouse: 2 searchlights, hydraulic steering

• Galley: gas hob and oven, sink, storage, 12V compressor fridge (all old and may not work)

• WC: electric toilet, tap and basin

• Changing room / sleeping cabin by the sauna entrance – access to the aft deck / swimming platform

• Lower deck: Heater room / storage: Eberspächer 2 kW air heater, ducts to upper and lower decks. 2 sleeping cabins. There is a hatch in the bow giving access to the foredeck.

• Upper helm: Hydraulic steering, and behind the upper helm a fairly large open area e.g. for sunbathing
