Toyota Avensis, 2006, Vantaa

A Finnish Toyota sold directly from its current use to the next owner! Below is the previous owner's info:

Oil change done 2 years ago (about 30,000–40,000 km ago (?)). Inspection valid until 01/06/2026. I have driven this car myself for 11 years and approx. 200,000 km. Interior generally tidy, seats intact etc. Summer tyres in good condition; winter tyres will last another winter.

MAJOR DEFECTS

Rear brake discs are rusted. Handbrake shoes need replacing. The dust boot(s) on the pistons of both rear calipers are almost worn through (brakes work normally but may stick after heavy braking). Rear bumper has a hole from a collision (photo attached). One reverse sensor is broken because of this. Left front mirror was vandalised several years ago, taped in place; heating and electric adjustment do not work because the wires are cut. Winter wheels are almost due for replacement.

MINOR DEFECTS

Exhaust patched in Jun 2025; it may start leaking again. The fuse box cover under the bonnet is missing, protected by plastic. Air conditioning and central locking do not work (likely a blown fuse as they share a fuse and stopped at the same time). Left rear door central locking does not work; it opens manually. The emergency release cord for the fuel filler in the boot is broken (the filler operates electrically normally). The multi-display lamp is burned out. Cup holder is broken. Reverse parking sensor beeps continuously (probably just dirty sensors). Protective plastic housings for the front headlights are damaged on both sides (still sealed in place). The key is missing the lock/unlock buttons, but the key works and the buttons can still be pressed. There is no spare key. Windscreen has a small stone chip; it passed the last inspection and has not spread. The bonnet release lever sticks occasionally, but the bonnet can still be opened.

SERVICE HISTORY (recent)

Brake pads replaced front and rear in Nov 2025.

Rear support arms replaced May 2024.
