Now available for bidding: a Škoda Octavia Scout in tidy condition!

The interior and exterior are in good order; everything works when driving, no complaints.

The car has been examined by several workshops and no cause has been found for it stalling at idle in freezing conditions. The fault only appears in cold weather, so at present the car runs completely normally.

Most recently the car was inspected by Vagen in May 2026:

- Crankshaft position sensor - connector OK, original sensor in place, tried moving the wiring and cooling with cold spray -> no stalling or other running symptoms

- Camshaft position sensor - same treatment, no running symptoms

- Auxiliary heater tested under controlled run - the heater works correctly, the car started after using the heater

- Temperature sensors - all show logical readings, rise to operating temperature

- Valve adjustment wheel holds the set value well (camshaft)

- Readiness code - the car completes internal system checks, i.e. no component is reported faulty by the control unit

- Battery and charging - battery coding incorrect -> corrected. Charging behaved unusually - at motorway speed at around 1,500 rpm the vehicle voltage could drop below 12 V, and the start-stop system did not work because the car detected too high power consumption. -> After battery coding and alternator adaptation the charging system is OK; the car has advanced power management = under engine braking it charges up to 14.8 V and in light driving charging is kept around 13.5 V. The start-stop system also began working.
