On a short test drive we observed the following:

  • - Vibrates at 40–60 km/h; engaging four-wheel drive helps a little.

    -> Front driveshafts need replacing. Prop shaft U-joints are rusty.

  • Steering somewhat stiff.

    -> Steering rack seized.

  • Clutch overhaul required.

    -> Clutch worn out.

  • Driver’s door does not open with the remote.

    -> Door lock faulty.

  • Engine warning light; according to the previous owner related to the catalytic converter

    even though it is OK, and that codes clear after a longer reset.

    -> Fault code stored for reduced catalytic converter efficiency. Not currently active. Using higher-octane fuel may help.

    Possible later replacement of the catalytic converter.
