Before listing the car for sale we carried out an extended test drive and condition assessment, during which we noted the following:
During driving the car was found to operate normally. The engine starts without issue and sounds normal. There are, however, a few items that do not function correctly:
In 3rd gear, when the pedal is floored, an indistinct whining noise can be heard; we have not investigated this further, acceleration is still normal
Not observed on our test drive, but according to the previous owner the engine warning light sometimes comes on; the code read points to the EGR, possibly blocked. When this happens the engine does not rev properly; it helps to switch the engine off and on again and then it runs fine for the rest of the day.
The driver’s seat is worn and missing some parts.
