Just over 300,000 km on the clock — a Honda with a long-running engine.

Although the exterior and door trims show bumps and signs of use, a person handy with some refurbishment will still get many years from this car.

Factory options include cruise control, automatic air conditioning, a towbar, electric windows and more. Someone has even fitted an extra front light for night driving.

Servicing has been done intermittently; not every service is stamped at the workshop, but some entries have been recorded in the book. I photographed every page of the service book.

The worst dents are on the bonnet, tailgate and wheel arches; there are also some small dents and scratches. Additionally, the bumper and wing joints do not sit perfectly at the front right and left rear. The rear bumper was once hit by a drawbar and has a crack. Inside, the door trims show early signs of sagging but are still in place. The exhaust leaks somewhere between sections. The air conditioning does not work, and the compressor belt may currently not reach as it has seized before. I did not try the cruise control. The driver’s window works normally. The radio plays. No warning lights. A decent little car — it moves forwards and backwards! Winter tyres are usable; summer tyres are poor. Alloy wheels on both.
