During a short test drive we made the following observations


- No warning lights illuminated on the instrument cluster
- A whining sound from the turbo when the engine is running, increasing under acceleration. A smell of exhaust is present in the engine bay around the turbo / particulate filter area.
- A knocking sound from the engine when applying throttle at idle.
- Event memory read; no fault codes stored.
- Read engine control unit warranty data -> The car may have been remapped
- Timing belt cover removed -> timing belt, idler pulleys and tensioner visually intact.
- Intake pipe removed and turbo inspected with an endoscope -> oil, dirt/moisture visible in the pipe. Turbo blades show no visible damage on visual inspection
- Read DPF ash and soot levels from the engine control unit -> oil ash mass: 3.7 g -> soot mass: 2.94 g -> ash limit: below 80 g
- Substantial fuel/oil in the cylinders -> injectors likely leaking


The car has not undergone a technical inspection and not all equipment functions have been tested.
