Honda CB 900 F Hornet *TURBO* 216 hp, Finnish bike, 33,000 km, 2002, 23 years with previous owner, Vantaa

The Honda has been with the previous owner for 23 years, and most of the work has been done by the owner himself, in his words:

"In short, I've been building the bike over the years. The turbo is a Mitsubishi, the additional injection is handled by a ProBoost with four extra injectors. 5 mm longer rear swingarm. 6" rear rim with a 200 mm tyre in good condition. LockUp clutch.

The original swingarm, mixture gauge, turbo screw — these only need fitting and connecting — are included.

The bike was dynoed at 216 hp / 170 Nm at the rear wheel."

"There is no paperwork. All built or changed parts are visible. The LockUp clutch is inside the engine, but the spacer on the engine case shows the clutch has been built and is stronger than stock.

The extra injection controller is under the seat. Dyno sheets are no longer available. At 1 bar of boost the rear-wheel figure was indeed 216 hp. Engine crank power is close to 250 hp."

The bike needs a little work to pass the modification inspection, so there is some work to do before the riding season — see the detailed list below:

The Hornet hasn't passed inspection because the exhaust HC level was too high. The reason is changed valve timing due to a 3 mm thicker head gasket.

HC levels can be brought within limits by using E85 fuel.

Additionally, power measurement tolerance is max +25%: 110 hp → 132 hp.

Noise level measurement from the exhaust and an emissions test are required.

The bike has been stored in a garage for several years and as a result a seal is leaking. The bike was started for a few minutes after which it began dripping fuel.
