Late last year the genuine International 453 was gone through quite extensively, but there’s still work left if you want it looking really tidy — e.g. front rims, bumper, etc. need attention.

  • All parts that were painted had rust removed first, then epoxy primer applied and the red parts finished in car paint with lacquer.

  • Additional hydraulics installed.

  • 5 kW "Webasto" with its own fuel tank — will thaw even the neighbour’s windows in no time when switched on.

  • Everything except engine oil was recently changed.

  • Good-condition used rear tyres fitted and the rims sandblasted/powder-coated = built to last.

  • New seat.

  • Plenty of extra lights.

  • Interior sound insulation renewed.

  • Nearly all windows replaced; the driver’s door glass was new but I accidentally broke it during fitting, so it currently has the old plexi.

  • The engine runs nicely.

Over 50 years old — an old machine, so it’s nowhere near like new. There’s certainly fixes here and there if you want it in excellent condition. Age-related patina and wear are guaranteed.
