  • The Hiace has performed faultlessly apart from poor starting in cold weather. The plan was to replace the glow plugs and install a hose heater, but due to time constraints only the glow plugs were purchased before the frosts.

  • The Hiace has been sheltered from the worst frosts, but on 31 January a pressing need arose during a harder frost and, although the vehicle was on the charger, the engine was glow-heated and starting aid was used, the Hiace would not start. It has since been tried again in milder weather and only shows signs of wanting to start but will not run. No further investigation has been or will be carried out, as all equipment is to be sold due to a change in work and the winding down of the business. Suspected fault due to the use of 'Pilot' starting aid and the engine is sold as broken.

  • Free-breathing 2-litre engine that was intended to be upgraded to a 4L-T or 5L-T engine in the future.

  • Some rust in the body floor; welding required in the spare wheel well before inspection, and the windscreen is cracked.

  • The exhaust is missing a silencer — either before the split or on both sides after the split.

  • Paint shows signs of age; defects are shown in the pictures.

  • Good winter tyres on alloy wheels and reasonable summer tyres also on alloys.
